ABOUT ME
When our son was little, he loved airplanes – probably inherited from his father. Having two parents in the military, his mother a JAG in the U.S Air Force, his father an engineer in the Canadian Forces, probably didn’t hurt either. When he was two, we moved from Colorado to Montreal after the birth of our daughter. Suddenly temporarily unemployed and a long-time amateur artist, I decided to create a picture book for our son showing all of the important work that airplanes can do, and ARTY was born.

Later, with bullying prevalent in schools, I began writing a middle grade fantasy to address this problem. A transfer to Belgium gave me the time to complete this first full manuscript and discover my passion for writing!

When I heard how my father-in-law came as a war-time evacuee from Gibraltar to live in London during the Blitz, and how his Spanish father thought he had lost his entire family during the voyage, I knew this was the inspiration for the next story I wanted to write. After 8 years of researching, writing, revising and honing my craft, I’m excited to offer the FIGHTING FATE series as a tribute to Henry, who we sadly lost in 2013.

When Archie, one of the supporting characters in MARKED BY THE CROSS OF LORRAINE, proved to be an endearing rascal to my readers, I recruited our daughter to co-write a short-story of Archie’s adventurous journey into discovering the true meaning of family.
My several years as a military-criminal lawyer, my love of history, Sherlock Holmes, and the addicting charm of old Quebec City, have inspired my next novel, provisionally entitled : READING BETWEEN THE LINES - A contemporary murder mystery linked to colonial New France of the 1750s.
